Who is Dick McGill?
As a commercial pilot and flight instructor, Dick McGill was able to view the massive growth and construction that was taking place in California. Very quickly, he determined that the real estate business might be worth looking into. After obtaining his original salesperson’s license, he went to work for the Jac LaFontain Realty Company in Burbank. Dick was one of the first, early recipients of the prestigious GRI designation. After several years working in the Valley, he relocated to the Panorama City area in 1957, and joined Herb Lightfoot & Associates. After obtaining his Broker’s license, Dick realized a long-time dream and became a full partner in the firm. As time progressed, Dick eventually opened his own Red Carpet Real Estate office. He held many distinguished positions within the real estate community including membership and education committees. He was also a State CREA Delegate and an alternate for two additional years.
After a very successful real estate career, Dick decided to move to the desert. Many of his friends finally convinced him they needed his professional real estate services. So, once more, Dick “dusted off” his Broker’s license and the rest is history. Here in the Palm Springs Real Estate area Dick has remained one of the top Brokers in the Coachella Valley.
When you are considering buying or selling through a professional Realtor, please keep him in mind. He keeps a verse written by the famous James Michener, that he likes to think describes “Dick McGill.” It goes like this:
“Master In The Art Of Living”
The master in the art of living draws no distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing and leaves it to others to decide whether he is working or playing: to himself, he is always doing both.
A consummate professional, Dick McGill has the experience and dedication to “get the job done.” For all your real estate needs including Palm Springs real estate to anything about La Quinta real estate, PGA West and beyond, call Dick McGill at (888) 518-2078….toll-free!

Marcia McGill
Marcia McGill has been licensed since 1985.
She put her license with Coldwell Banker in Agoura Hills and worked as an office administrator for 5 years which gave her a keen knowledge of the paperwork and forms. She was able to do transactions of her own, which she felt gave her the best of both worlds.
She was recruited by Troop Realty and stayed with them until moving to the desert in 1994 and hanging her license with her father Richard mcGill and became part of R.C. McGill and Associates. What a difference coming from the Agoura/Westlate area to the desert with all its golf course communities, second homes, vacation rentals and new home developments popping up. This was quite a new learning curve, but after months of visiting all the different areas of the desert, things began to fall in place and she has since gone on to sell homes all over the Coachella Valley.
In January of 2014, Marcia received her Brokers License and continues to take ongoing classes and is looking forward to receiving more designations in order to stay on top of client needs. Pas clients have posted reviews on Trulia and Zillow and have stayed in touch which says a lot about how much she puts into her work!
