Accessibility Statement

Desert Reserve is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Our standard

This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities, including auditory, cognitive, neurological, physical, speech, and visual impairments.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML throughout (proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, lists where appropriate)
  • Alt text on all meaningful images
  • Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus states
  • Sufficient color contrast on all text (minimum 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Form labels properly associated with inputs
  • ARIA attributes used where native HTML semantics are insufficient
  • Responsive design supporting 200% browser zoom without loss of content or functionality
  • Reduced-motion preference respected for animations

Where we know we're not perfect

We test internally and through third-party tooling, but accessibility is a moving target. Areas we are actively improving:

  • Embedded third-party content (Google Maps, video players) is not always under our direct accessibility control
  • Property photographs may have minimal alt text — we are systematically rewriting these for richer descriptions
  • Some PDF documents (market reports) are being remediated for full screen-reader compatibility
